Reducing albinism related stigma in Tanzania: an exploration of the impact of radio drama and radio interview

Reducing stigma is key to improving the wellbeing of people with albinism in Tanzania. This study aimed obtain more insight into effects two radio interventions regard albinism-related stigma: a drama and interview. Assessment was based on attitude measurement instruments (The Albinism Explanatory Model Interview Catalogue Community Stigma Scale Social Distance Scale), an entertainment scale, informal (group) interviews. In total, 111 community members participated assessment prior drama, 65 after. case interview, 123 show, 77 Following significant reduction found terms stigma, social distance after both interventions. The score for high, but significantly higher drama. respondents indicated that they had gained understanding as result interventions, were positive about this type education. current shows show which listener interacts someone can contribute demonstrates different types intervention have outcomes.
